Luggage Rack - Installation
ℹ NOTE
Visually inspect the mounting surfaces prior to the bonding process to ensure that all of the adhesion promoter has evaporated. The maximum time between surface preparation and application is 20 minutes.


- If installing a previously installed roof rack, remove the adhesive tape from the roof rack side rail.
- Remove the adhesive tape from the roof panel, if necessary.
- Wipe clean the roof panel surface and the roof rack side rail tape mounting surface with a clean lint free cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol. Wipe the bonding surface immediately with a dry lint free cloth.
- Wipe the roof panel surface and roof rack side rail tape mounting, if reusing a previously installed rack, with adhesion promotor.
- If required, apply the adhesive tape to the underside of the roof rack side rail in the area provided and apply strong hand pressure for a minimum of 5 seconds.
- Remove the backing liner from the adhesive tape.
- Carefully install the roof rack (2) to the roof (3).
- Install five nuts (1) and tighten the nuts to 6.2 Nm (55 in. lbs.).
- Close the front roof rack side rail cap.
- Apply strong hand pressure to the front of the roof rack side rail (above the adhesive tape) for a minimum of 5 seconds.
Luggage Rack - Removal


- Remove the five nuts (1) from the roof rack (2).
- Remove the roof rack (2) from the roof (3).

1. Carefully install the roof rack (2) to the roof (3). 2. Install five nuts (1) and tighten the nuts to 6.2 N.m (55 in. lbs.).
