Procedures
Wheel Stud / Lug Nut: Specifications

WHEEL STUD / LUG NUT Wheel Lug Nut 136 ± 20 Nm (100 ± 15 ft.lbs.)
Wheel Stud - Installation — Rear


- Install the new stud (1) into the hub flange by rotating the stud (1) in between the hub/bearing and park brake shoes (2).
- Install the three washers onto the stud, then install the lug nut with the flat side of the nut against the washers.
- Tighten the lug nut until the stud is pulled into the hub flange. Verify that the stud is properly seated into the flange.
- Remove the lug nut and washers.
- Install the brake rotor and caliper,Disc Brake Caliper - Installation.
- Install the wheel and tire assembly, use new lug nut on stud or studs that were replaced.
- Remove the support and lower vehicle.
Wheel Stud - Installation — Front
△ CAUTION
Do not use a hammer to remove wheel studs.- Install the new stud into the hub flange.
- Install the three washers onto the stud, then install the lug nut with the flat side of the nut against the washers.

- Remove the lug nut and washers.

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove brake caliper and rotor,Brake Rotor - Removal.
- Remove stud (2) from hub with Remover (1).
- Remove the stud (1) from between the hub/bearing and brake shoes (2)

FRONT WHEEL STUD
1 - C-4150-A 2 - STUD
CAUTION: Do not use a hammer to remove wheel studs.
1. Raise and support vehicle. 2. Remove wheel and tire assembly. 3. Remove brake caliper, caliper adapter and rotor. Refer to REMOVAL . 4. Remove stud (2) from hub with Remover C-4150-A (1).

REAR WHEEL STUD
CAUTION: Do not use a hammer to remove wheel studs.
1. Raise and support vehicle. 2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
1 - SPECIAL TOOL 8677 2 - STUD
3. Remove brake caliper and rotor. Refer to REMOVAL . 4. Remove stud (2) from hub with Remover 8677 (1).
1 - STUD 2 - PARK BRAKE SHOE
5. Remove the stud (1) from between the hub/bearing and brake shoes (2)

REAR WHEEL STUD
1 - STUD 2 - PARK BRAKE SHOE
1. Install the new stud (1) into the hub flange by rotating the stud (1) in between the hub/bearing and park brake shoes (2). 2. Install the three washers onto the stud, then install the lug nut with the flat side of the nut against the washers. 3. Tighten the lug nut until the stud is pulled into the hub flange. Verify that the stud is properly seated into the flange. 4. Remove the lug nut and washers.
5. Install the brake rotor and caliper. Refer to INSTALLATION . 6. Install the wheel and tire assembly, use new lug nut on stud or studs that were replaced. 7. Remove the support and lower vehicle.
