  1. Remove the rear 60% seat back. Seat Back - Removal
  2. Separate the remaining seat back cover retainers (1, 3).
  3. Remove the seat belt trim from the top of the seat cushion.
  4. Remove the one hog ring securing the cushion and cover assembly to the seat back frame.
  5. Position the cushion and cover assembly aside and using a soft hammer or equivalent (3), remove the headrest sleeves (2).
  6. Remove the cushion and cover assembly from the seat back frame.
  7. Position the seat cover to expose the hog rings and cut off all hog rings to separate the cover from the cushion.
  8. Remove the bolt retaining the seat belt assembly from the seat back frame. 60/40 Seat Back- 40

  10. Using trim tool or equivalent, remove the two lower push pin fasteners (4).
  11. Using trim tool or equivalent, separate the six push pin fasteners (3) and remove the seat back panel (2).
  12. Separate the seat back cover retainers (3).
  13. Remove the bolts (1) and separate the hinge assembly from the seat back frame.
  14. Separate the remaining cover retainers (1, 2, 3 and 4).
  15. Position the cushion and cover assembly aside and using a soft hammer or equivalent (3), remove the headrest sleeves (2).
  16. Remove the cushion and cover assembly from the seat back frame.
  17. Position the seat cover to expose the hog rings and cut off all hog rings to separate the cover from the cushion.

  3. Remove the headrest (4).
  4. Remove the seat back shield (19).
  5. Remove the seat back cover (39).
  6. Remove the left guide (5) and right guide (3) from the seat back cushion (2).
  7. Remove the seat back cushion (2) from the seat back frame (16). Passenger Seat Service Precautions .
  8. Remove the front seat back, Seat Back - Removal.

  10. Remove the headrest (3).
  11. Remove the seat back shield (18).
  12. Remove the seat back cover (48).
  13. Remove the left guide (4) and right guide (2) from the seat back cushion (44).

  1. Install the seat back cover to the seat back cushion and install new hog rings.
  2. Install the cover and cushion to the seat back frame, pull the seat cover tight around the cushion and seat frame.
  3. Install the head rest guides to the top of the seat cushion.
  4. Secure the seat back cover retainers (1, 2, 3 and 4).
  5. Install the right hinge and bolts (1) to the seat back frame and tighten to 47.5 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
  6. Secure the seat back cover retainers (3).
  7. Install the seat back trim panel (2) to the seat back frame (1).
  8. Seat the six push pin fasteners (3) fully.
  9. Install the two lower push pin fasteners (4) and seat fully.
  10. Install the 40 seat back assembly. Seat Back - Installation 60/40 Seat Back - 60
  11. Install the seat belt assembly and bolt to the seat back frame and tighten to 47.5 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
  12. Install the seat back cover to the seat back cushion and install new hog rings.
  13. Feed the seat belt through the cushion and cover.
  14. Install the cover and cushion to the seat back frame, pull the seat cover tight around the cushion and seat frame.
  15. Install the head rest guides to the top of the seat cushion.
  16. Install the seat belt trim to the top of the seat back cushion.
  17. Secure the seat cover retainers (1, 3).

  1. Slide the 40% seat back assembly (2) onto the inner seat bracket pivot shaft (1).
  2. Install the 40% seat cushion and cover Seat Cushion Cover - Installation. 60/40 Seat Back - 60
  3. Install the seat back assembly onto the seat back hinges and install the bolts (1).
  4. Tighten the bolts to 47.5 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
  5. Secure the seat back cover clips (2 and 4).
  6. Position the seat back panel (2) back into place and fully seat the eight push pin fasteners (3).
  7. Install the five lower push pins (4).

  1. Remove the 40% seat cushion and cover Seat Cushion Cover - Removal.
  2. Slide the 40% seat back assembly (2) off of the inner seat bracket pivot shaft (1). 60/40 Seat Back - 60
  3. Using Trim Remover or equivalent, remove the five lower push pin fasteners (4).
  4. Using Trim Remover or equivalent, separate the eight push pin fasteners (3) and remove the seat back panel (2).
  5. Separate the seat back cover (1, 2) from the seat back frame.
  6. Remove the seat back hinge bolts (1) from the seat back hinges and remove the seat back assembly.

60/40 Seat Back - 40
1. Remove the 40 and 60 seat, see REMOVAL. 2. Remove the screw and trim covering.
3. Remove the nuts (1) attaching the 40 and 60 seat back frames.
4. Remove the recliner rod nut (1) and recliner rod (2). 5. Remove the 40 seat back frame from the 60 seat back frame.
NOTE: Mark the position of the recliner lever prior to removal. This will make sure that the recliner lever is in the proper position after installation.
6. Trace (1) an outline of the recliner handle. Remove screw (2) and the floor bracket trim (3) from the hinge.
7. Remove the screw (2), washer (1) and recliner handle (3) from the floor bracket.
8. Remove the bracket nuts (1), trim attachment bracket (2) and bracket (4) from the hinge (3).
9. Remove the left floor bracket from the seat frame.
60/40 Seat Back - 60
1. Remove the 40 and 60 seat, see REMOVAL. 2. Remove the screw and trim covering.
3. Remove the nuts (1) attaching the 40 and 60 seat back frames.
4. Remove the recliner rod nut (1) and recliner rod (2) and the spacer. 5. Remove the 40 seat back frame from the 60 seat back frame.
6. Remove screw and trim covering from the hinge.
7. Remove the bracket nuts (3), trim attachment bracket (2) and bracket (1) from the hinge (4).

Disassembly

Remove screw and trim covering from the hinge.

Remove the bracket nuts (3), trim attachment bracket (2) and bracket (1) from the hinge (4).

Remove the seat back trim panel (1) from the seat back frame (2).
4
Remove the bolts (1) from the left hinge.
5
Remove the bolts (1) from the right hinge.
6
Remove the seat belt trim from the top of the seat cushion.
7
Depress the tabs (3) on the head rest guide (1) and remove from the top of the seat cushion (2).
8
Remove the seat belt through the cover and cushion.
9
Remove the cover and cushion from the seat back frame.
10
Position the seat cover to expose the hog rings and cut off all hog rings to separate the cover from the
cushion.
11
Remove the bolt retaining the seat belt assembly from the seat back frame.
60/40 Seat Back- 40
NOTE
Mark the position of the recliner handle prior to removal. This will make sure that the recliner handle is in the proper position after installation.

Trace (1) an outline of the recliner handle. Remove screw (2) and the floor bracket trim (3) from the
hinge.

Remove the screw (2), washer (1) and recliner handle (3) from the floor bracket.
3
Remove the bracket nuts (1), trim attachment bracket (2) and bracket (4) from the hinge (3).
4
Remove the bolts (1) from the right hinge.
5
Remove the left floor bracket from the seat frame.
6
Remove the seat back trim panel (1) from the seat back frame (2).
7
Remove the hog ring attaching the seat back cushion to the seat frame.
8
Remove the seat cover clips from the seat back frame.
9
Depress the tabs (3) on the head rest guide (1) and remove from the top of the seat cushion (2).
10
Remove the cover and cushion from the seat back frame.
11
Position the seat cover to expose the hog rings and cut off all hog rings to separate the cover from the
cushion.

Assembly

Install the seat back cover to the seat back cushion and install new hog rings.
2
Install the cover and cushion to the seat back frame, pull the seat cover tight around the cushion and seat
frame.
3
Install the head rest guides to the top of the seat cushion.
4
Install the left floor bracket to the seat frame.
5
Install the right hinge and bolts (1) to the seat back frame and tighten to 47.5 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
6
Install the bracket (4), trim attachment bracket (2) and bracket nuts (1) to the hinge (3) and tighten to 47.5
N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
7
Install the recliner handle (3), washer (1) and screw to the floor bracket in the position noted during
removal and tighten to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.).
8
Install the trim covering and screw to the floor bracket and tighten to 3 N.m (26.5 in. lbs.).
9
Install the plastic seat cover clips to the seat back frame.
10
Install the hog ring attaching the seat back cushion to the seat frame.
NOTE

Install the seat back trim panel (1) to the seat back frame (2).

Install the bracket (1), trim attachment bracket (2) and bracket nuts (3) to the hinge (4) and tighten to 47.5
N.m (35 ft. lbs.).

Install the trim covering and screw to the floor bracket and tighten to 3 N.m (26.5 in. lbs.).

Install the plastic seat cover clips to the seat back frame.

1. Install the left floor bracket to the seat frame.
2. Install the bracket (4), trim attachment bracket (2) and bracket nuts (1) to the hinge (3) and tighten to 47.5 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the recliner handle (3), washer (1) and screw to the floor bracket in the position noted during removal and tighten to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.).
4. Install the trim covering (3) and screw (2) to the floor bracket and tighten to 3 N.m (26.5 in. lbs.).
5. Install the spacer, recliner rod (2) and recliner rod nut (1) to the position noted during removal and tighten to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.). 6. Remove the 40 seat back frame from the 60 seat back frame.
7. Install the 40 seat back frame to the 60 seat back frames and tighten to 47.5 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the trim covering and screw and tighten to 3 N.m (26.5 in. lbs.). 9. Install the 40 and 60 seat, see INSTALLATION.
60/40 Seat Back - 60
1. Install the bracket (1), trim attachment bracket (2) and bracket nuts (3) to the hinge (4) and tighten to 47.5 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
2. Install screw and trim covering to the hinge and tighten to 3 N.m (26.5 in. lbs.).
3. Install the recliner rod (2), recliner rod nut (1) to the position noted during removal and tighten to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.).
4. Install the 40 seat back frame to the 60 seat back frames and tighten to 47.5 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the trim covering and screw and tighten to 3 N.m (26.5 in. lbs.). 6. Install the 40 and 60 seat, see INSTALLATION.
