Procedures
Power Seat Track - Removal
ℹ NOTE
Front driver seat shown. Front passenger seat similar.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the front seat being serviced Front Seat - Removal.
- Remove seat cushion side shields (9, 27, 29 and 30) Seat Cushion Side Shields - Removal.
- Remove the seat back frame (15) from the seat cushion frame (10) Seat Back - Removal.
- Remove the front seat cushion (7) and cover (36) from the seat cushion frame Seat Cushion Cover - Removal.
- Remove the nuts (35) that secure the seat risers (14 and 34) to the seat cushion frame and remove the risers.
- If required on passenger seats equipped with Occupant Classification System (OCS), remove the seat weight sensors Seat Weight Sensor - Removal.
- Remove any components that need to be transferred to the new front seat track, adjuster and seat cushion frame assembly.
Power Seat Track - Installation
ℹ NOTE
Front driver seat shown. Front passenger seat similar.- Install any components that need to be transferred from the original front seat track, adjuster and seat cushion frame assembly.
- If required on passenger seats equipped with Occupant Classification System (OCS), install the seat weight sensors Seat Weight Sensor - Installation.
- Install the seat risers (14 and 34) and the retaining nuts (35) onto the seat cushion frame (10). Tighten the nuts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
- Install the front seat cushion (7) and cover (36) onto the seat cushion frame Seat Cushion Cover - Installation.
- Install the seat back frame (15) onto the seat cushion frame Seat Back - Installation ,
- Connect wire connectors and reposition wire harness, as required.
- Install the seat cushion side shields (9, 27, 29 and 30) Seat Cushion Side Shields - Installation.
- Install the seat Front Seat - Installation
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
- Verify normal operation of power and heated seat functions.
